Children learn more from our actions than our words; our values must therefore be visibly lived out. For this reason, our engagement with a wide range of issues and causes goes beyond the superficial.
Macleay Vocational College
Through our relationship with Macleay Vocational College, a school offering pathways back for teenagers who have fallen out of education, our girls can meet Indigenous students of vastly different life experience. We exchange regular visits which allow our students to establish meaningful connections with peers whose circumstances could not be more challenging, and whose response is inspiring.
Our girls work actively to fundraise for their early childhood centre and other programs to support vulnerable teenage mothers and break the cycle of disadvantage for their babies. By making genuine personal connection, they come to see issues of marginalisation, dysfunction and privilege through fresh eyes.
