For more than a century, Queenwood has shaped a community where young women are invited to question deeply, to act with courage, and to place their gifts in service of something greater than themselves.
The Q Artemis* Campaign strengthens this legacy, ensuring that as A School of Her Own, Queenwood continues to help every girl uncover her voice, recognise her capacity, and discover her own way of contributing meaningfully to the world she helps to form.
*Artemis Kourotrophos was the patron of young women, who refused to be defined by others’ expectations.
Rising to the moment
The redevelopment of the Esther Road Art & Design Precinct is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to position Queenwood as a leader in cutting-edge and established technology education, seamlessly integrating artistic creativity with STEM and interdisciplinary innovation.
This redevelopment will help Queenwood establish a distinctive presence built on innovation, creativity, and a flourishing community, ensuring our girls are ready to lead with purpose as the world continues to change.
This aspiration will be aimed at:
- elevating the role of creativity, innovation, and design thinking across Queenwood
- strengthening Queenwood’s positioning as a school for curious learners, critical thinkers and problem-solvers
- showcasing state-of-the-art facilities supporting interdisciplinary creativity
- extending Queenwood’s award-winning STEM programs.
- connecting with ethics, literature, philosophy, and the arts alongside STEM
- establishing the Character Education Institute, deepening students’ engagement to cultivate whole and purposeful young women.
Inspiring courage and creative exploration
The centre will feature twelve adaptable, purpose-designed studios will create an environment where ideas can be explored, shared, and brought to life. The Centre will:
- Equip young women to lead with confidence across culture, industry, and society
- Champion sustainability, environmental stewardship, and innovative design
- Respect the character of the local streetscape while deepening community connection
- Enable advanced learning that prepares students for the challenges and possibilities ahead
