Queenwood’s School Counsellor is there to help students deal with problems they may find difficult to manage on their own.
Typically, the Counsellor works with individual students to suggest strategies to help them cope with challenging situations and to make sense of their experiences. Counselling is conducted on a strictly confidential basis, provided this does not conflict with school rules or the law.
Any student with questions or concerns or who is struggling in some way is welcome to make an appointment with the Counsellor, in person or via email. Students can decide how often they wish to meet with the Counsellor, and appointments can be scheduled at a time that suits the student, including before school, at lunch time or during the day. Parents are also welcome to meet with the School Counsellor.
