ADMISSIONS OFFICE

The pack includes a copy of Queenwood’s Prospectus, Enrolment Information, the current Schedule of Fees and an Application Form. To request this pack, please submit an enquiry form.

Following receipt of your Application Form and accompanying fee, your daughter will be added to the waiting list.
Applicants are added to the waiting list in order of application date; for entries into Kindergarten consideration is given to the time elapsed between birth and application rather than application date alone. Priority is given to siblings of current Queenwood students, daughters of Queenwood Old Girls, siblings enrolling together and applicants related to Queenwood Old Girls

Families are encouraged to submit an application prior to attending an Introductory Day and an interview with the Principal will only be arranged after attendance. You can register your intent to attend an Introductory Day online {online link to request a tour} or the Admissions office via email enrol@queenwood.nsw.edu.au or telephone .

Prospective Year 7 families are invited to Introductory Days in the order that they appear on the priority waiting list; this will occur approximately 2-3 years prior to commencement.

Should a family be in the process of an overseas transfer and they wish to secure an immediate placement, a visit to the School can be arranged for a particular day followed immediately by an interview with the Principal. Places are offered only if there are vacancies in the appropriate year group.

Parents and their daughter/s will be invited to an interview with the Principal following attendance at an Introductory Day. Prior to the interview you will be asked to submit an Interview Request Form and accompanying paperwork including recent school reports and written references. You are encouraged to be candid about your expectations, aspirations and concerns so that the Principal can address them during the interview. Both parents are expected to attend the interview together with the prospective students. Families are interviewed together so that places for siblings can be secured at the same time.
Following a successful interview, you may be offered a place at Queenwood. The usual entry points are Kindergarten, Year 3, Year 5 & Year 7, although other offers are made, at the Principal’s discretion, if places are available. In order to accept a place, parents must return the paperwork included with the written letter of offer, including the signed Conditions of Enrolment and the Acceptance Fee Payment Form. Your daughter’s enrolment will then be confirmed. Owing to demand for places, deferred entry cannot be offered. Please note that the first term’s fees are payable 6 months prior to start date.
The entry points for Junior School are Kindergarten, Year 3 and Year 5. Interviews and placement offers for Kindergarten are usually offered soon after application. Prospective students wishing to commence in Years 1, 4, 5 & 6 will be added to the waiting list and offered places should current families relocate and a place become available; these places are offered approximately 6 months prior to commencement. Entrance into non-entry years is on the basis of reports, references and an interview.
There is an automatic progression from Queenwood Junior School to Year 7, Queenwood Senior School. New Senior School students are offered a confirmed place on the basis of reports, references and an interview. Interviews may take place up to two years prior to students commencing at Queenwood.
Entrance during the school year is possible if vacancies are available and the Principal offers a confirmed place in writing. It is preferable that students commence at the beginning of a school term.
