Pizza Lunch for Year 12
On Thursday 18 September the girls of Year 12 are invited to attend a pizza lunch at school hosted by Queenwood Old Girls’ Association (QOGA). The event will reinforce the importance of building connections for the future and about the networking opportunities and support offered by QOGA in life after school.
Careers Night
The Careers Night on Wednesday 20 August from 6.30pm – 9-9.30pm will give students from Years 10,11 and 12 the opportunity to hear from specialists in a variety of fields and professions about career options and tertiary education requirements. Students will be able to ask questions in small groups about potential fields of interest. Representatives from a number of universities including the University of Sydney and Macquarie University and TAFE will be in attendance. Parents are welcome.
Vision Art Show
The Annual Vision Art Show to be staged at Queenwood School from Friday evening 19 September through to Sunday 21 September is a key event on the calendar for art enthusiasts. The works of established and emerging artists will be on display and for sale.
Writing Competitions 2008
Students are invited to take a look at the writing competitions listed below and consider entering their work. Topics, closing dates and year groups are indicated in the table. Check further details on the noticeboard outside the English staffroom and see the English teachers for entry forms.
Many of these competitions offer cash prizes and the opportunity to have work published.
