The Youth Girls Sydney Harbour AFL Grand Final Day was a massive success for our U18-1 and U14-2 teams. Both teams won their final! Winning two out of the four possible Youth Girls Grand Finals is a magnificent effort and a testament to the great camaraderie our teams have displayed throughout the final series. All players are to be congratulated on their desire to contest each possession, coaches and managers for their organisation and desire to improve our players, and parents thanked for their support.

Two Queenwood Old Girls, Holly Lincoln-Smith and Georgie Gotch are going to Rio.

Holly will be representing Australia in the women’s water polo team after she won bronze in the 2012 London Olympics. Whilst Georgie was nominated to sweep for the coxed eight women’s rowing after the Russian team was banned from participating. This is more representatives than any other IGSSA School, and we are very proud of the girls and their connection to Queenwood.
