Overview
Queenwood encourages the highest effort to reach full personal academic potential along with development of artistic, sporting and social skills. The curriculum is designed to provide challenge, choice and flexibility in learning. Approximately 95 per cent of Year 12 graduates choose to further their education at a tertiary level and consistently high UAI rankings see the majority of students able to undertake studies in their chosen fields.
Queenwood has offered the International Baccalaureate, an internationally recognised alternative pathway to matriculation in Years 11 and 12, since 2001.

Recognising the differing abilities of students, Queenwood attempts to cater to individual needs with special learning support for those requiring additional assistance and acceleration and extension programs for students working at a level ahead of their age group. In the final years students who have completed subjects at the highest level before their Year group are eligible to undertake distinction courses that offer university level study. In the earlier years students who benefit from extension work, will be given the opportunity to work at an advanced level and are supported with access to Gifted and Talented programs.
Scholarships are awarded in academic, visual arts, music, science technology and mathematics in various years.
